Antivirus Software (Part 2 of 10)

Like spam, viruses are a problem which affect all computer users, choosing the right anti virus product means that you are getting the best protection for your money while also minimising the performance impact the software has on your PC.

It’s all too common to find people with reasonable spec PCs that are being bogged down by their antivirus software.  How many times have you wondered why your relatively new PC is running slowly?  There is a good chance that if you’re using one of the more ‘famous’ brands that this is killing your PCs performance!

Changing your ‘famous’ brand product for one with a smaller system footprint gives performance benefits as well as increased protection if you select the right one.

If you haven’t got any antivirus software running – please stop reading this blog and download one right now! If you need somewhere to start then try ESET NOD32….you can download a copy to give you protection (note: the download version doesn’t update the virus signatures unless you buy it, but it will be a good starting point if you haven’t got anything now.  The Mikeyy worm on Twitter is an example of how people want to cause problems for other users.

Please don’t take any chances.

Recommended Product: ESET NOD32
